This does that exceptionally well, as the pole provides a peak, but the straps provide 'ridge lines', sort of like on a roof, and sets up the water shed process beautifully. It is for this same reason, you would not want to put a wet swimsuit, jeans, etc, on new marine vinyl. The poles are adjustable from about 3' to about 5', and the biggest outermost pole is approximately 1 in diameter. The fabric is then coated twice with polyurethane on the bottom or downside, UV protected, and mildew protected.

This is not a disposable type cover.

It makes it a very easy 2 person job, and a reasonably easy one person job. We really like the grey and beige covers.

To explain further how these are cut, the big piece of material across the top on the cover is long, big piece of material across the top on a cover is long, etc. The elastic cord sewn into the hem takes up some of that potential slack, as well as does the taller items in your boat.
